TAPAS CONTEST 2026

Event organized by ADEMI - Amigos de España en Michigan

Join us at our upcoming event, the tapas contest, where we will enjoy the rich flavors of Spanish cuisine. Bring your best tapa and sample those of other participants. And to close the evening, we’ll end with dancing!

Plymouth Cultural Center and Ice Arena

The event hall is located entering the main entrance, and turning left, it will also be marked with red balloons.

Details

  • The event will start at 6 p.m. and end at 10 p.m.

  • During the first hour the tapas will be welcomed and registered for the contest.

  • Tapas that are not registered before 6:45 p.m. will not be able to enter the competition.

  • Dinner will start at 7pm.

  • After dinner and the awards ceremony, there will be music and dancing by Michigan DJ.

  • Due to the limited capacity of the venue, we recommend that you purchase your ticket as soon as possible.

Prizes will be awarded to the 3 best recorded tapas.

The jury will be in charge of evaluating them according to the following criteria:

  • Presentation (15%)

  • Elaboration (20%)

  • Creativity (15%)

  • Taste (50%)

TICKET PRICES

  • Member Individual Ticket $30

  • Non-Member Individual Ticket $40

  • Children’s Ticket (Ages 3–14) $15

  • Additional Drink $5

INDIVIDUAL TICKET (MEMBER/NON-MEMBER)

  • Each attendee agrees to bring one tapa with enough servings for 8 people.

  • Each tapa must clearly list all ingredients, both in Spanish and English, to help prevent any food allergies.

  • Each guest is responsible for checking allergens and avoiding ingredients that may cause an allergic reaction; ADEMI is not responsible for the food.

  • Each individual ticket includes up to a maximum of 2 alcoholic drinks: wine and/or beer.

  • Non-alcoholic beverages and desserts are also included in the ticket.

  • Additional drinks can be purchased on the website, but not at the event.

  • Alcohol will not be served to anyone under 21 years of age.

CHILD TICKET (Ages 3-14)

  • Each family must bring one children’s tapa with portions for four children.
